ThomLingo giúp bạn tra từ trên trang web, dịch âm thanh bạn chủ động chia sẻ và học qua video YouTube. Chính sách này áp dụng cho website và tiện ích Chrome ThomLingo. Liên hệ về quyền riêng tư: [email protected].

Dữ liệu chúng tôi xử lý

• Tài khoản: tên người dùng, tên hiển thị, email, ảnh đại diện (nếu có), thông tin xác thực và phiên đăng nhập. Tiện ích lưu mã phiên đăng nhập trên thiết bị để đồng bộ với tài khoản; tiện ích không nhận mật khẩu hoặc Google OAuth token.
• Tra từ: từ hoặc cụm từ bạn bôi đen, nhập hoặc rê chuột vào, cùng cặp ngôn ngữ đã chọn. Tiện ích không gửi toàn bộ trang, mật khẩu, nội dung ô nhập liệu hoặc lịch sử duyệt web chỉ để tra nhanh. Khi bạn bấm lưu, cặp từ gốc và nghĩa dịch, nguồn do bạn cung cấp (nếu có), cùng tiến độ ôn tập được lưu vào tài khoản.
• Dịch trực tiếp: sau khi bạn chọn chia sẻ âm thanh trong Chrome và bắt đầu dịch, luồng âm thanh được gửi trực tiếp đến Soniox để nhận dạng và dịch. Lời nói và bản dịch hiển thị trong phiên. Transcript chỉ được lưu vào tài khoản khi bạn bật “Lưu transcript”; công tắc này mặc định tắt mỗi khi mở khung dịch. Transcript đã chọn lưu có thể tạm nằm trong bộ nhớ tiện ích để đồng bộ lại khi mất mạng.
• Học qua YouTube: mã hoặc liên kết video bạn nhập, phụ đề công khai lấy từ YouTube, từ bạn chọn lưu và vị trí xem để tiếp tục học. Phụ đề có thể được lưu trong bộ nhớ đệm chung; lịch sử xem gắn với tài khoản của bạn.
• Ví và thanh toán: số dư, thời gian phiên dịch, mã giao dịch, số tiền, loại tiền và trạng thái thanh toán được lưu để tính credit và đối soát, kể cả khi lưu transcript đang tắt. Khi thanh toán được mở, payOS xử lý chuyển khoản VietQR và Stripe xử lý thanh toán thẻ; ThomLingo không lưu số thẻ đầy đủ hoặc mã bảo mật thẻ. Chúng tôi nhận nhật ký thời lượng và chi phí từ Soniox để tính thời gian sử dụng. Dữ liệu giao dịch được giữ để hỗ trợ, đối soát và đáp ứng nghĩa vụ lưu trữ áp dụng.
• Vận hành: tùy chọn ngôn ngữ, cài đặt tiện ích và dữ liệu kỹ thuật cần thiết để vận hành, bảo mật và xử lý lỗi. Khi bật dịch khi di chuột, vị trí con trỏ được xử lý tạm trong trang để xác định từ; tọa độ không được lưu hay gửi đi. Website có thể dùng vùng quốc gia suy ra từ kết nối để chọn ngôn ngữ mặc định. Máy chủ hoặc nhà cung cấp hạ tầng có thể xử lý địa chỉ IP, thời gian yêu cầu và thông tin kết nối trong nhật ký kỹ thuật.

Dịch vụ xử lý dữ liệu

Từ được rê chuột để dịch nhanh được gửi trực tiếp đến Google Translate; nếu dịch nhanh không có kết quả, ThomLingo gửi chính từ đó đến máy chủ của mình. Các lượt tra khác được máy chủ gửi phần văn bản cần dịch đến nhà cung cấp dịch thuật đang được cấu hình (MyMemory, Google Gemini hoặc DeepSeek); tra phiên âm có thể dùng Free Dictionary API. Âm thanh đã chia sẻ được gửi trực tiếp đến Soniox. Đăng nhập Google, email xác minh qua Resend và phụ đề/video YouTube chỉ được dùng khi bạn chọn tính năng tương ứng. Các nhà cung cấp có thể xử lý dữ liệu ở quốc gia khác; chính sách riêng của họ cũng áp dụng.

Lưu trữ, lựa chọn và yêu cầu xóa

Kết quả dịch nhanh có thể được lưu tạm trên thiết bị để hiện lại nhanh; bản dịch trên máy chủ có thể được lưu trong bộ nhớ đệm tối đa 30 ngày. Từ đã lưu, tiến độ học, lịch sử video và transcript bạn chọn lưu được giữ trong tài khoản cho đến khi bạn xóa chúng hoặc yêu cầu xử lý dữ liệu. Bạn có thể tắt dịch khi di chuột, ngừng chia sẻ âm thanh, tắt lưu transcript và xóa lịch sử dịch hoặc lịch sử video trong ứng dụng. Giới hạn sử dụng và bảo vệ dữ liệu

Chúng tôi chỉ dùng dữ liệu để cung cấp các tính năng ThomLingo, vận hành và bảo vệ dịch vụ. Chúng tôi không bán dữ liệu người dùng, không dùng dữ liệu cho quảng cáo nhắm mục tiêu, không chuyển dữ liệu để xác định khả năng tín dụng hoặc cho vay. ThomLingo helps you translate words on web pages, translate audio you choose to share, and learn from YouTube videos. This policy covers the ThomLingo website and Chrome extension. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

Data we process

• Account: username, display name, email, profile picture if provided, authentication details, and sessions. The extension stores a session token locally to sync your account; it does not receive your password or Google OAuth token.
• Word lookup: the word or phrase you select, enter, or hover over, and your chosen language pair. Quick lookup does not send a full page, passwords, form contents, or your browsing history. If you save a word, its source text and translation, a source you provide if any, and review progress are stored in your account.
• Live translation: when you start translation and choose to share audio in Chrome, audio is sent directly to Soniox for transcription and translation. Speech and translations appear in your session. A transcript is saved to your account only when you turn on “Save transcript”; this is off by default each time you open the panel. Opted-in transcripts may remain temporarily in local extension storage while waiting to sync.
• YouTube learning: video IDs or links you enter, public captions retrieved from YouTube, words you save, and playback position used to resume learning. Captions may be cached as shared data; viewing history is tied to your account.
• Wallet and payments: balances, session duration, transaction IDs, amount, currency, and payment status are stored for billing and reconciliation, even when transcript saving is off. When enabled, payOS processes VietQR transfers and Stripe processes card payments; ThomLingo does not store full card numbers or card security codes. We obtain duration and cost logs from Soniox to meter usage. Transaction records are retained for support, reconciliation, and applicable recordkeeping obligations.
• Operations: language preferences, extension settings, and technical data needed to run, secure, and troubleshoot the service. With hover translation enabled, pointer position is processed temporarily on the page to identify a word; coordinates are not stored or sent. The website may use a country inferred from your connection to choose a default language. Our server or infrastructure provider may process IP addresses, request times, and connection details in technical logs.

Service providers

A word hovered for quick translation is sent directly to Google Translate; if that fails, the same word goes to the ThomLingo server. Other lookups send only the text to be translated from our server to the configured translation provider (MyMemory, Google Gemini, or DeepSeek); pronunciation lookup may use the Free Dictionary API. Shared audio goes directly to Soniox. Google sign-in, verification email through Resend, and YouTube videos or captions are used when you choose the corresponding feature. Providers may process data in other countries under their own policies.

Retention and your choices

Quick translations may be cached locally for faster repeat lookup. Server translation results may be cached for up to 30 days. Saved words, learning progress, video history, and transcripts you choose to save remain with your account until removed or until you request action on your data. You can turn off hover translation, stop sharing audio, leave transcript saving off, and remove live translation or video history in the app. To ask about your data or request account and related data deletion, email [email protected]. Backups or technical logs may remain for an additional operational or legally required period.

Limited use and security

We use data only to provide, operate, and protect ThomLingo. We do not sell user data, use it for targeted advertising, or transfer it to determine creditworthiness or for lending. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is transmitted over secure connections where available, and server access is limited to service operations.

Changes

If our data practices materially change, we will update this page and its effective date before applying the changes.
